How long a passport renew should take maximum , for me it is already 2 months. in case a police verification report did not reach passport office , who should follow up this and be responsible for this!! i applied on 20 June and police verificaion was done on 27 July.      |

It is normally 30 to 45 days that you should get your passport. If you are not issued a passport within 45 days, you can file a RTI application asking for the cause of delay. Please refer to the link given below on how to file a RTI application.

Sir , Thanks for your reply. I have submitted on 20-June-2008, this is about 60 days now. Should I raise RTI or convert into application Tatkal. I need passport very urgent. Not sure which way is faster. Regards Kamal Pandey |
