Passport..!!!

i applied for my passport on july 31,2010 to jaipur passport office .and police verification has been done to aug 24,2010 and after that nothing happened.seriously nothing happened "
for more than 2 month my passport status was
"police verification report has not been receive"
i tried to call passport office but non one even pick up the phone..
i sent some 8 to 10 email to RPO but no responce from passport office .
and finally i planned to file a rti regarding passport..for that i went to post office (actually we can file a rti for passport
through post office also if you are living too far from passport office and not able to go there just to file a rti...)those people
(post office)told me ""oh vo 10 rs wale act k bare me baat kar rahe ho kya..actually hamne suna hai uske baare me par hame bhi puri jankari nahi hai k usse kaise use karte hai hamein bhi kisi se se puchna padega tabhi hum aapki madad kar payenge"
so i finally decided to send my rti application through speed post only
u guys wont believe it i got reply from passport office within 4 days and now they have changed my status too that
"passport is ready and it will dispath on 21 Oct" let's c what happens next.. but seriously speaking RTI is very powerful tool and we should use it wherever we feel that people are not working seriously for our work........
and may be.. may be it is a first step of the corruption free india by a mango man...

Hello abhishek, I have exactly same problem as yours in chennai ppo. can you please guide me regarding the questions you asked in the application form and also how you paid the rti fees. I applied for pp on 14/06/2010.police verification report sent on 30/07/2010 still the website says police verification not received. thanks
