Congratulations !Sponsorer
What did you ask as a question ?
Actually it does not matter how you frame your query - question or information.
What is important is if the information requested falls under the definition of "information", "record" and "right to information" - Sec 2(f), 2(i) and 2(j) of the RTI Act.

Re: excess amount charged for information under RTI ACT 2005
question asked by me was
If the interview is held as per the UGC and NMU norms and a proper selection committee which includes V.C nominees and subject experts & has selected a candidate who is fully qualified, in how many days should the institute give him appointment orders. Can the institution treat this interview as mere formality and reject the selected candidate.

Re: excess amount charged for information under RTI ACT 2005
That was not properly drafted and hence the information was denied.
You could have asked for:
1. Norms set by the public authority for the number of days in which appointment letter to be issued to selected candidates.
2. The weightage or marks allotted to interview, written exam, GD,....etc.
