We the residents of ‘16th Cross, 1st Stage, Kumaraswamy Layout, Bangalore 560078’ get to understand that a complaint has been failed by one person that the water is being made available 24hrs a day daily to our road and water is being wasted by the residents. This is not at all true and the same can be vouched by all the residents of 16th Cross. ![]() However, action has been taken by the water supply officials and we are getting only 3 to 4 hours of water on alternate days and that too the supply is very slow making it impossible for the water to raise up to the over-head tanks on the roof (1st or 2nd floor). Added to this due to power-cuts we are unable to use the motor to pump up the water to the over-head tank. ![]() Ofcourse, there are some lucky days when we get water with good speed and no power-cuts. How can action be taken based on complaint filed by one person without verifying the facts? The person could be insane or a sadist. Who else would do such a thing. This is making our live miserable. I need to know how to use RTI to know the name of the idiot who filed the complaint and what else has that sadist has mentioned. |

Vedavyas, You can file RTI application with BWSSB and ask for the information regarding the change in water supply to your area, what (timing qty, pressure, hours, etc.) was it before, what is it now, why the change, was the change instituted because of any complaints, if yes, details of the complaint and complainant, did BWSSB carry out any investigation on the complaint, what action did they take, which officer took the action, etc. Unfortunately the RTI link on the BWSSB homepage does not open. You will have to call them and check who is the PIO for your water supply area and address the application to him. The RTI application has to be as per the RTI Rules of Karnataka. Be careful, these were recently amended to restrict the RTI application to 150 words and only one subject matter - otherwise the application will be rejected.
