Need Help: EPF Transfer from previous employer - 3 years delayed

Hello Friends,

I got to know about this forum through google and it looks like a great place to get help on lot of complex things.

I work in a software company in bangalore. I requested for a transfer of PF from "company A --> to company B" three years back.

But they kept saying it has been done etc. But only this Jan-2008 I came to know that the PF department has parked the money in "pending-status" since the PF number from company A to company B didn't match properly. So the amount from company A has gone into suspended account.

"Ascent online" was the company which was managing the PF for this software company. After a huge push, they filed a complaint with the PF department in bangalore to resolve the issue. But its more than 2 months since they issued the letter to the PF department. But no updates still.

Is there any other way I can get my PF money transferred?. Should I lodge a complaint with the consumer court since its been pending for 3 years?.

Welcome to this portal having nearly 9000 members pan-India. For your epf problem I would suggest that U file RTI application by refering my blogs "ANY THING PENDING WITH GOVT?" AND ON STATUS OF PF ACCOUNT. U have to file with CPIO of the EPF office where the account is presently maintained. Pl enclose all the details to enable them to locate the matter at their end. All the best.
