Jiwateshwar, are you making fun of us here? This is the second time you have made this six-worded post here. If you want to make a post for the purpose of deleting, you can do so yourself immediatley after submitting it.

Dear Ganpat, I am intending no mockery here! Perhaps if you looked at the times the three posts (#2,3,4) were made, things might become clearer to you! The original contents of the post were different than what you view it as now! Also, Im not aware of how one can delete a post which has been made! |

Jiwateshwar, I was just awaiting your response before moving this portion to Chit-Chat. You should understand a few basic things. If you find any reply or post unsuitable, you should only report the post or send a PM to the moderator. If you butt-in with another post recommending the removal of an earlier one, then you are likely to end up spoiling the entire flow of discussions in that thread. As for post #2, karira has given his views on the subject. Being a Community Builder, Ashok always takes the opportunity to welcome every new member, while Karira, being a born-fighter, always tackles a problem first. Regarding post #3, Ashok has first welcomed the new member and then has given his opinion that an RTI application without proof of payment(in the instant case-photocopy of receipt), stands a chance of being rejected. Both of them have submitted their replies almost at the same time. Which of these posts you have recommended for removal? BTW, you can modify or delete your own post ( that too within the first few seconds only) by using the edit button. Beyond the time period, only a moderator can do it.

Ganpat, Perhaps I have been misunderstood! Plz let me clarify. When I started replying to the post, there were no replies yet. Only post #1 existed. As soon as I submitted my reply, I saw that Karira and Ashok had already replied to the post and that my post provided no new information than what Karira has already said in his post. Thus I thought it fit that my post be removed. So I edited it to read what it reads now. Hope that clears things up. You are right about the flow of discussion thing, but the objection had been raised by you publicly and thus I saw it fit to reply publicly. No hard feelings! |

Jiwateshwar, Absolutely no hard feelings. I have already suggested you to make the best use of this forum as a learning ground. There is nothing wrong in two persons giving a similar reply at the same point of time. You should have allowed your original post to remain. Editing a major portion and leaving something unconnected, will only make it ridiculous. What will a subsequent reader understand from your one-liner and how do you expect a moderator to know what is going on in your mind, without being explicit. Before you press the submit button, go through your post carefully to find out if what you have expressed in the post conveys correctly what you have thought. A delay of a few minutes for editing will not make the heavens fall. You are free to see anything fit to reply publicly. But ensure that you are also able to convey your reply correctly, preferably with a single post.
