How long does it take for an appeal/complaint made to the CIC to appear on the website's status of appeals and complaints section? My appeal is not being displayed on it yet, but it has been delivered. So should i resend another copy?

Jiwateshwar,

It should take about a week or so - depending on intervening holidays and work load. My Appeals-cum-Complaint appeared on 15th July when they were delivered on 4th July 2008.
Just keep checking.

actually it takes a complete month to appear on their website.

in my case i sent them my appeal by speed post on 19/07/2008 and my appeal appeared on their website on 18/08/2008 (as date of application)

How to know the status of Appeal when we dont know the registration Number. In my case I am getting "matching record not found" though my appeal was received by CIC on 18/09/2008 as per postal Department

My Speed post website shows the letter recevied but CIC website does not confirm it.

No Sir, How it can be? Every Problem has a solution. If appeal at CIC is not possible then RTI act is a scrap.
