Need Help: Delhi Student RTI Part 2

This post is a follow up on my commitment to filling an RTI in regards to the content of the thread Delhi student beaten by teacher for using RTI

Would like to thank Sidmis for bringing to us all the news that he does. It is a mighty effort on your part to collect such minute details and bring them to our knowledge. Thank you once again!

As promised in the previous thread, I now plan to follow up on my commitment. Here are some of the questions Im thinking of laying down:

In reference to appendix-i(printout of the news report) and appendix-ii (printout of the cic decision) I would like to request you for the following information

1. Has the information requested by the boy and his parents been provided as per directions of the attached judgment? If yes, then on what date was this done. Kindly include photocopies of proofs in support of your reply.

2. Has the boy/parents filled any written complaint against the concerned teacher. If yes, then kindly provide me with a copy of the complaint along with action taken report and file noting where ever applicable.

3. Have any similar incidents of violence against students been reported from the given school. If yes, then kindly provide me with details of such reports and action taken.

4. Kindly provide me with a copy of the A.C.R. of the teacher responsible for the act of violence as read from the attached news report.

5. What steps or measures have been taken to discourage and prevent such behavior on part of teachers in future.

6. Was a police complaint filed in context to the events of the news report attached? If yes, then kindly provide me with a copy of such police report.

7. What action has been taken against the teacher accused of beating the student for using RTI. .........................(redundant)

8. ???

Kindly suggest more questions or information that I could seek! Would appreciate if more people could come forward to file the same application!

1. Just replace "photocopies of proofs" with certified evidences.
2. , 3. look OK
4. Most probably will be denied. Do you think following redraft will help ?:
"Was any adverse comment made in the teachers' ACR ? If yes, kindly provide me with a certified copy of the evidence confirming such adverse entry"
5. Start with "Please provide me with a complete list of steps or measures that have been taken....."
6. & 7. are fine.

Seek a copy of the compliance report (or similar such report) prepared. For submission to the Commission. Though In the original order there is no mention of this. You may just ask for it, no harm either. Though this was partly covered in point no. 1

The word boy can be replaced either with Student or Sh. Mohsin.(optional)

Also in the last part add the personal inspection bit. (you can give it a go by)

You might not get information about item 5 since I think ACR's are filled up once a year. But let the PIO deny. At least he will know that you will again follow up on this point after some months or a year.

In the last para, besides "denial of information", please also include "aggrieved by your order".

Somewhere include that "you are citizen of India".
