In response to the letter of GHMC, Hyderabad, the Hon MLA, Shri Reddy may request GHMC, to scan all copies of available documents / plans of proposed construction and finally to burn all of them in a DVD-R and to forward it at the earliest for further necessary action.
I dont think that this would cost not more than 50/- (max cost of a good quality DVD-R) to GHMC, Hyderabad.

Is the same rule not applicable when requesting a scanned copy? I mean, what stops GHMC from asking for that huge amount even for scanning?

Kindly enlighten whether the documents have to be calculated at Rs.2/- per rules as specified in RTI FEE and Regulations 2005 or it has to be charged on the basis of a building permission

Is such calculation is permissible under the RTI Act 2005 and if not is it not contrary to the rules prescribed in the central act

If you asked for photocopies, then they will charge depending on the size.
