Conditions of Roads
This is an area specific question. I have been residing in Rampuri which is near Surya Nagar in Ghaziabad since 2000.
The roads in the locality have not been repaired even once.The situation is pathetic with large potholes, no place to walk for pedestrians and damaged suspensions for vehicles.
Recently all the roads of Surya nagar were properly remade. Can anyone please tell me as to when the roads in Rampuri will be remade ?!

Dear Amar, Plz post RTI related queries here. Why dont you ask authorities about this. Just file an application under RTI-2005. I hope it ll give u an answer. Plz find a perfect application under RTI-2005 as attachment, prepared by Karira Sir. Go through it and edit as per your requirement and file. If any queries reply. Members ll help youSponsorer

No Rupesh, I have not been able to file RTI simply because I am not familiar with the procedure involved. But I had approached the concerned authorities on the matter and was informed that we should approach the concerned MLA, one Mr. Karketi, with the grievance and submit a memorandum which should have the representation of the whole area.
The problem is that there is a lot of lip service, but when it comes to the crux, no one is forthcoming - the general approach is to comment on the matter and let the others bell the cat.
Though there have been individual attempts by others with a touch of personal mileage involved I am sure that this matter need a collective push to materialise.

A suitable RTI application has already been given to you in the post above.
You can file the RTI Application with the SPIO Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Just call up the number available here: Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam - U.P. India Contact us and proudly ask "Who is the SPIO of your Nagar Nigam ? I want to file a RTI application. Give me his details."
Your RTI application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for UP. These are available in the Guide section of the portal: RTI Guide
Please read the other articles in the Guide section, as well as the links given under the "All about RTI" icon on the home page of the portal. These will be useful to you during the RTI process.
Why don't both of you file the RTi applications separately ?
In fact to put more pressure, ask your other neighbors to also file RTI applications. It only costs Rs. 10 per application.
The more the num,ber of applications, the more the pressure on the GNN to perform.
