What can be considered as Fundamental Duties of an RTI Activist

It has been sometime since the thread How do you name an RTI Activist? has been doing the rounds at this forum. It was a good exercise and pretty decent attempt at defining what makes an "RTI Activist". With the term now standing defined, I think it is about time that the FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF AN RTI ACTIVIST were discussed upon. Please participate.

1. Enforce Compliance With Rules and Regulations: In many cases the applicant suffers dur to non-adherence to set rules and regulation on part of PIO. A simple example to this effect would be the discussion we had on making the DD payable to Accounts Officer. Certain PIOs reject applications on the basis that the DD was made in favour of accounts officer and that no such officer exist. However, the RTI Act rules and regulations and certain DoPT circulars make it compulsory on part of PIO to receive payment favouring the accounts officer. Since a novice RTI applicant would not know about these, it is the duty of an RTI activist to make sure that this is being followed.

Primemost duty of RTI activist today must be to press the I.Cs & govts to work sincerely as per fundamental RTI rules set by themselves.
