I had made a RTI application to a Public Authority in another city. The matter went to First Appeal stage. In the "prayer", I included: "I would like to be present during this hearing of First Appeal under Sec 19(1) of the RTI Act 2005. Since I am based in Hyderabad, I request the First Appellate Authority to allow me to participate in the First Appeal hearing by audio-conferencing at any of the land line numbers or my mobile number, as have been mentioned above". I got a email from the PA informing me of the time and date of call. They also followed up by a call to me 2 days prior to the hearing. The call came through at the agreed time today. The line was clear and the FAA, CPIO and myself could all hear each other and discuss the matter. It was very nicely done. Sorry, cannot reveal the name of the PA at this stage. |
