Sir,
there is no wrong usage of RTI. Under RTI the information can either be given to the citizen or it can be denied to him under the provisions of section 8 and 9 of the act.

However, penalties of the kind described in the attached thread could be levied upon the applicant!

Plz be assured that there is neither any Penalty nor any suit, prosecution or legal proceedings if you have done it in GOOD FAITH as enumerated u/s 21 which reads as follows.

21 No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or any rule made thereunder.

Of course there could be some hassles.

Mr. Basant,
It is unclear as to what you actually mean by wrong usage? Is it some wrong implementation on your part, or are you referring to some frivolous application filed before you?
