Passport application status

My wife and myself had appliedforpassport in may 2008,at jammu,police verification report has been completedin first half ofjune2008,but on checking the status it always showsthat police verification report has not been received

You will first have to check and confirm that the Police Enquiry report has indeed been sent to the Passport Office. For this, you have to visit the branch from where the officer came for the Police Enquiry. They will give you some reference of the letter or "bundle", under which your enquiry report was sent to the RPO.

Once you have that you can follow up with the passport office.
