Passport Not received after sending for renewal

Hello,

I have sent my pasport for renewal(by reg Post) on 27 of Juy 2007 and even the Police verifiction report is also sent.
But still I have not received my Passport.It is almost one and half year.
No one lifts the phone when I call the Regional passport office in Hyderabad.
As reside in Tirupati I cannot come to Hyderabad many times to enquire about the status.
My reference number is F017312/07
Please let me know the status as this is to long a period .
Request you to please respond to my query.

You can file a RTI Application with the PIO of RPO Hyderabad to ask about this status and why your renewal has not yet been done.

Your RTI application needs to be accompanied by a application fee of Rs. 10.00 payable by IPO in favour of "Accounts Officer".

Hi All,

Thanks for your quick reply.I received my passport a couple of days back finally (after one and half year)but the problem is they have not sent my old passport along with my new one which has Visa entries in it.
Kindly let me know what is the procedure to get my old passport also.

Did you file a RTI application or did you get your passport in the normal course ?

For old cancelled passport, file a written request and if not attended in 25-30 days proceed with RTI punch as suggested in my blog at http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/...ding-govt.html
