My son was born at St Thomas Mount, Chennai in the year 1993. During the registration of his birth with the St Thomas Mount Contonment Board we have just given the short names of the parents instead of their full name. But when we applied for the passport for my son they asked us to change the birth certificate and asked us to mention the full name of the parents. We applied for the same to the Special Officer at St Thomas Mount Cantonment but our application was refused and we were told that we cannot change it now. Kindly let us know what should we do in this regard ? Whom should we get in touch for mentioning the full name of the parents in the birth certificate as passport authorities needs the full name of the parents with the expanded initials. Kindly help      |

However, for your problem, I suggest that you contact District Education Officer of the district in which said school is located and represent the matter with all relevant details/papers.
