hi all!

i got married 2 yrs back. my wife has a valid passport with her maiden name, which will expire in 2yrs from now. i am a resident of goa, now on a job in qatar. she has to join me soon here in qatar, but before that she will have to get her name changed to include my name in it, as also the place of residence would change from maharashtra to goa.now she might as well renew her passport too at the same time.

my queries are:
1) which passport office does she apply to? goa or the one in maharashtra?
2) any affidavits required?
3) is this renewal or re-issue of passport by terminology?
4) what documents does she have to provide?
5) will i be needed to sign on any of the documents as her husband, or can she manage it all by herself, given that i am out here in qatar?
