Hospital in a Residential complex
Hello Everybody,
My name is Amudhan Balakrishnan and am residing at Bhayander in Mumbai.
There are 4 buildings in our residential complex. All the four buildings have a common entrance and one of the buidlings situated right at the entrance has sold their ground floor for a proposed hospital.
It has come to the notice of the other three buildings only after renovation work has started there.
With the hospital coming up we foresee a great of amount of trouble and inconvenience coming up for the residents, viz., large number of people visiting the patients, people standing outside the hospital and causing nuisance, ambulances making urgent visits and thereby blocking the entry and exit of residents. Also the problem of medical waste disposal (Bhayander itself has a huge waste disposal problem. To compound that further we will have an issue of Medical waste in our complex).
Over and above this there is an unauthorised construction/alteration/repair work going on in the proposed hospital premises.
Can someone please suggest what do we do to stop this hospital from coming up in our residential complex.
Thanks & Regards
Amudhan Balakrishnan
As the entrance is narrow

Re: Hospital in a Residential complex
dear Amudhan ,Sponsorer
Use RTI Act .
Get a copy of Building By-Laws and the policy regarding commercial use of residential buildings from the supervising Revenue / Development Authority . If the setting up of hospital violates the policy or building by-laws , you may lodge a formal complaint and the authority will act on that .
RTI Appl is to be filed with PIO of relevant Public Authority with RTI Fee as per State RTI Rules and fee regulations . For this see the Guide section here :
