How can i get my passport

hi,

I applied for my passport in march 2008. Police verification was also done in the same month .But the status in the official site still shows as "police report has not been received". When i enquired in the local police station they confirmed that they had send the report.
How can I get my passport..How to proceed to get it...Thanks in advance..

Jyothi,

The Police Station which forwarded the verification report to RPO will provide you with a covering letter number or a "bundle" reference under which the report was sent to RPO.
Just get that and then file a RTI Application with the relevant RPO.

hi,

regarding your passport, go to the concerned local police station. try to get file no. and date of despatch of your verification records. go to passport office and there you cross check file no. in tapal section whether it reached or not. by this we can confirm that whether verication reports reached to passport office or not. if you can do this then it is easy to trace out the status of your passport.
