    Search for citation on videography permission , file first Appeal .
    Videography has been allowed at inspection . I have myself done it at Haryana SIC .

    lissing perme Recommends this.

    No, video graphy is not allowed. I think you got the information you sought. So don't waste valuble time and resourses by resorting to the unnecessry appeals. At the most you should have asked the informtion to be provided by means of floppy or CD's which you have not made in your application. So your application has been completely redressed and disposed off. No vidography is allowed at the time of inspection to the best of my knowledge.

    Re: First Appeal or Complaint??

    Dear lissing

    I stand corrected from my earlier reply as on updating my knowledge by re-reading the RTI ACT 2005. The s.2(j) defines as:-
    (j) "right to information" means the right to information accessible under this Act which is held by or under the control of any public authority and includes the right to—
    (i) inspection of work, documents, records;
    (ii) taking notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records;
    (iii) taking certified samples of material;
    (iv) obtaining information in the form of diskettes, floppies, tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through printouts where such information is stored in a computer or in any other device;

    So the s.2(j)(iv) allows of obtaing the information by way of video casettes also in addition to floppies diskettes( CD's).

    Mr. lissing, you can go for appeal as the PIO not provided the information sought in the form of videography(verb) which means videocasttee(noun)
