What happens if CPIO requests for non filing of an application.In one case person responsible for receiving the application(Sampark Centre employee) has informed that he over burdened and not paid well as such he is not able to cope with the work entruted.Apperently it is not my responsibility but as social activist should I rais the issue of salary being paid to such employees. You can compare the salary of this PIO with other employees in his organisation and with officers of similar rank in other organisation. This information should ideally be available u/s 4(1). A comparison will reveal whether this person is actually poorly paid or is just giving excuses. |

If the CPIO request for nonfiling of an application, nothing should happen as the RTI Act does not envisage an applicant to solve the problems of a CPIO. One should not forget the aim and get diverted to such incidental issues. In India everyone has multifarious problems. One is at liberty to attend to them in one's capacity as a cityzen. But don't mix it up with RTI |
