    postal charges


    can we collect postal charges from the applicant ? I have heard from someone it is now ammended in
    kerala, and i wish to know the order no. of the same.

    It depends on whether it is a Central or State public authority.
    You have to follow the relevant RTI Rules - Central or that particular State or High Court.

    Not PIO handling the section for PIO.I mean... can we collect postal charges for providing information or can collect postal charges for providing certified copies.

    You can collect application Fee of Rs.10/=
    And Rs. 2/= per page of A4 size.
    The maps / charts actual cost of preparation.
    and such other fees prescribed in your RTI rules.
