Transport Allowance in case of disabled employees of Central Govt.
In the 6th CPC it is clearly mentioned that all the disabled employees of Central Government will be entitled for the transport allowance double of the normal rates.
Is it mandatory to seek prior permission of the competent authority for sanctioning the same?
If yes, what is the procedure? And who is Competent Authority?

The Competent authority is authorize to publish casuality in your document.However,you must have a disability certificate .The copy of this certificate is verified by Gazzeted Officer,preferably from your department.Send to your Pay disbursing Office.They will notify you if anything else is required.Sponsorer

dear Hoshiar Singh ji ,
use RTI . File one RTI Application to PIO of your department and seek copies of all Rules / circulars in this matter and also ask for requirements / qualifications for getting the disability allowance .
