The Department started maintenence of roads in full swing.

The roads in the sector of my city were in such a bad condition that you never know when you meet with an accidents . Many NGO moved application to the department concerned and years passed but no action was taken , I filed a case relating to very bad condition of roads (under Life and liberty provisions) ,having big patches ,BAZARI spread over the roads ,no marking on speed breakers ,accidents happening every 2nd day. The roads were dangerous for life , and the speed breakers are not at all visible but the concerned authorities were not taking any interest to maintain these roads. The dept replied that the position can not be changed over night , I filed direct complaint to State Information Commission ( though I have not received any notice from the State Information Commission ,more than 10 days have passed ,but in the mean time I got the same published in the news paper and moved strong memorandum to the DC , the combined efforts worked, The concerned dept started maintenance of the roads at war level. I would like to add , as the information was not provided with in 48 hours .I filed direct complaint to SIC ,the SIC has taken cognizance of my complaint file u/s 18(2) and has issue a notice to the dept. to appear , saying that there are reasonable grounds for holding inquiry u/s 18(2).
