    Default Registration of sale deed of a landed property in West Bengal.


    Dear Friends,
    I recently came to know that one my cousin staying in a town in west Bengal is saling my part of ancestral properties by making a false power of attorny.
    All original papers of the property are in the posession of my cousin brother.
    Once I came to know about this I put a complain in writing to the Sub Registrar's office about the incident.Since he is unable to registrar any more land sale deeds as this office is no more accepting the power of attorny due to complain from me,he is getting the registered in another office in another town.
    My question is how he can register in any office other than the office which is within the area where the land is situated?
    Can we register any where as we like ?
    Then how the records get consolidated in one office.
    Kindly guide me please.

    Sale deed of a property has to be registered with Registrar Office under whose jurisdiction property is situated.
