Police verification Report Pending

Hi,
Police verification for my mother's new passport application has been done more than 2 months ago but not yet been sent to the Regional Passport Office Kolkata. Hence the Passport Application status is showing "Police Report has not been received". Whenever I call the police verification office they say that the file is ready and will be sent in this week. Could anyone suggest what should be done from my side?

A quick repsonse will be highly appreciated. Thanks for your time & suggestion.

contact inspector and convey the status of your file, usaully they oblize, this is much better way than others.

I've already did that and got a reply as the inspector has did his part and submitted to the concern department and now the ball is in their court to send the file to the passport office. He has nothing to do in that.

Get the reference number under which your report was sent.
Maybe there is a bundle number and a date also.
Once you get that, follow it up with the passport office.

But the report was submitted by the officer to his verification office, and the report is stuck there only, not yet been sent to the passport office. So do I need to follow it up with the passport office or the police verification office? How to get the report to be delivered from the police verification office to the passport office?
