District Administration has not spent even a single penny on awakening of people regarding RTI.

Through RTi it is reveled that how serious the Govt is towards RTI act . The RTI has been creacted but I think that it has become the biggest problem for the administration . The seriousness of the administration towards the awakening of masses as far as RTI is concerned can be seen ....that In my district neither any semenar has been conducted nor even a single penny has been spent on the "Prachar and Prasar" of the RTI Act during Last 5 years.

The scenario is same across India. But the blame should not be on the District administration only, very little has been done even by our government in the same regard, other than perhaps putting a link of "RTI Act 2005" in every government websites.

We are having Field Publicity Offices across cities and towns, they are also inactive in this regard.

There is no major / constant advertisement through mass media like TV or Radio/FM.

What I feel is, we the people can become a deciding factor ourselves. Lets not confine ourselves to Online Contributions, but get involved personally and physically.

# All of us are member of some sort of organizations, we can educate our fellow members. Certainly doubts and queries will be flooding us. Whichever is beyond our scope of knowledge, we need to jot down the same and address it in this forum. Once we get the answer for the same, we should make it a point to revert back to the fellow member who raised the query / doubt. This will not only increase one more RTI Aware Citizen, it will boost him to tell others in the same way.

# Charity begins at home. We have faced many issues where our family members or relatives or friends have told us their problem. If the same is RTI related lets try to direct them in the correct path. If they get a solution, they will certainly inspire others to use RTI.


Lets try to spread awareness in our own simple ways, rather than blaming the Authority for the same...
