passport: police verification not done yet

I HAVE APPLIED FOR A FRESH PASSPORT FROM REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICE, 4 BRABOURNE ROAD, KOLKATA 700001 ON 03/02/2011 FILE NO. A014194-11 DATE 03/02/2011
TILL NOW POLICE VERIFICATION NOT DONE. AFTER HAVING INQUIRED FROM BAGUIATI BID CELL THE FACT WAS UNFOLDED THAT THE FILE DID NOT COME FROM BARASAT POLICE STATION, NORTH 24 PARGANAS, WB.
I NEED TO HAVE RTI HELP TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.

there is a sample rti in this site for passport application.
You can file rti for the following :
Provide information about the status of my application
Provide information which suggests the deadline for police verification
Provide inforamtion about the names of the officers with whom my application was lying till date
Provide certified copies of the file notings about by application

i have applied for my passport on 31st November, 2010. The police verification was done on 19th January 2011. Today it is 21st June. The Passport site is still saying police report has not been received. They took 500/- INR from me as bribe. even after that it is saying police report has not been received. I mailed to the RPO and got no response at all. The rpo numbers are not reachable. It is kind of urgent but I am getting really harassed. I am giving my reference no. Would be thankful if you take care of the issue.
