How old information can be asked for through RTI?

I am having a query... There were departmental exams conducted in 2003 ,2005 and now 2007. For all exams , results were doubtful and not followed the proper procedure. Even, result was not declared in a proper way. All candidates appeared for exam had not been informed. Is there any way to ask for answersheets for all exams conducted i.e in year 2003,2005 and 2007?
Can anybody guide in this regd?

yes, you can ask for information , provided the department rules indicate that the records have been destroyed/weeded out after the preservation period.

There are some threads about the examination and evaluated answer sheets, you might get lot of information from there:

• Copies of evaluated answer books.
• Information requested for records which are 12 years old
• evaluated answer copies cannot be disclosed under RTI
