Re: Co-operative housing society
No, Housing Cooperative Societies in Maharshtra are not directly under RTI.Sponsorer
However, depending on the type of information you are seeking, you can get it through the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Also, if you are a member of that society, as a matter of Right you can also get information directly from Society, even without RTI.
Read the rights of members in the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act.

Re: Co-operative housing society
The society consist of 5 MCM out of which three are on one side which includes the chairman and the secretary and all three totally corrupt, the other two are ob the other side.
One of the society members had filed a RTI and the registar had send a notifacation to the society to submit all necessary documents but the three corrupt members were totally reluctant to provide the requested info.
In such case what is the immediatee legal action that can be take on the three cheats.
Note:- All members of the society are totaly silent and no one is bothered to throw this cheats out, except 2 or three members hence te solution of throwing them out thru all members concent is not possible.
If any of you have any solution that can take the lest possible time ,kindly inform.
Thanks

Re: Co-operative housing society
This portal is dedicated to RTI issues only.
No one here will be able to guide you on Coop Societies issues.
If you filed a RTI application with the RoCS and di not get information, the corretc RTI way is to file a first appeal for "deemed denial" of information. The first appeal has to be filed within 30 days of getting the PIOs reply or 30 days from the date the reply was supposed to be received.
Are you within the time limit of submitting first appeal ?
