posting of husband and wife at the same station

I along with my husband was working in a central govt service under the same department in the same station but we were not married then.Due to some personal problems I had to take a transfer from that station to a different place but still under the same department.We now plan to get married.In such cases can we apply for transfer under the government circular of posting of husband and wife in the same station? Once married I am willing to return to my husband's station but can the rule help me in getting my transfer?
Anybody with any knowledge on this subject is welcome, I have to take some critical decisions depending on this issue.

There are rules that the both the spouses will be posted at the same station. You may see the rules of your department or central government services. Or search the same on the net. But you will be able to apply for the same only after your marriage. The result may not be instant but ultimately you will get posting on the same station. In case of any problem in getting the rule, you can file a RTI Application to your department asking for the relevant provisions in the rules.

Yes. posting of husband and wife at the sam station . dsitt, state is permissible to be sought from the comptent authority u/ dtanding order / instructions o f DOPT.
