money not refund debited due to atm machine problem hi Sir/Madam,
i used my atm card of pnb bank for 1500 rs transaction but i did n't get my money and money is debited at the same time from my account..i forwarded the complaint against it in bank toll free no but needed action was not taken by bank.

Please scale up complaint to Nodal Officer of the bank at its H.O. by visiting website of the bank. Now you should get back Rs.1500/- plus Rs.100/- per day from 8th day of your filing first complaint till amount is refunded, as per RBI guidelines of 2009..Sponsorer

Reconciliation of failed transactions at ATMs Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Ayesha Jitendra, I am working with HCL BPO N-2 Center Sector 59 Noida. My HDFC Bank Salary account number is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX through which the above mentioned transaction had taken place on 30/09/2010 and was disputed on 01/10/2010 . But No Resolution has been done till date as its already 10 months now.
I had entered the sum of R's. 500/- in the ATM machine ( standard charted) in my office, the amount that was disbursed by the machine was R's. 100/-. Then I entered R's. 100/- message that was displayed on the atm screen was that there were only 500/- notes available. So once again I entered the sum of Rs.500-, but the amount that was disbursed was R's. 100/-. So in total the amount that I got was R's. 200/- out of the two transactions of Rs.500- each and this was debited from my HDFC bank account on 30/09/2010. I asked Mr. Rajneesh from(SCB) bank, who was standing right behind me who had come to put the cash in the machine, on telling him that the machine did not give any receipt and that the full amount did not come, he informed me that this happens very often and that the money will be credited in my account within 12 working days.
On 01-10-2010,I made a complaint to my bank (complaint no.130409), they assured me that the amount wll be credited to my account within 12 working days.
After the 12 working days i again called up my bank and I was informed that the money has still not been credited it might take another few days. So I spoke to the supervisors Gitika and Amit, they asked me to fill up the Charge Back Dispute Form in my bank. So I filled the form on 01-11-2010. They told me that after 12 working days the money will be surely credited to my account. However, after this I spoke to my branch manager Mr. Puneet who sits in Sector. 110 HDFC branch in Noida, he gave me a copy of an email that the SCB had sent him ( as attached above ) and said that the SCB is saying that the money has already been disbursed as per the transaction details.
The only person who was aware that the amount was not disbursed from the machine was Mr. Rajneesh from SCB bank who had come to put the money on verifying his details I saw that he use to come in a car which takes the money for all banks it was a CMS van. After saying that I would complain about him he told the office guard that I should not complain and that he wants to speak to me personally.
I would like you to take this matter seriously as i am the only sole member earning in my family. My both parents are dependent on me and their medical bills are also very high. I am been harassed by both the banks as no one is admitting their mistake in the end i am the one who is at loss with no fault of mine. I would request you to please look into this matter on a priority basis as i am already very worried and harassed .
According to the circular issued by you of July 17, 2009 to all banks, the rbi has made it clear that all banks have to reimburse within 12 days amounts wrongfully debited on accounts of failed ATM transactions and pay Rs.100 per day for every day's delay. So here I would like to say that it has been now already 10 months now and this is not been resolved and also compensated for the same for the harassment caused by both the banks.
I have already made the admin dept of my office aware of this. But no resolution has come out till today.
I would request you to please kindly revert back at the earliest. I have waited for this since a very long time now. I want this to be resolved on priority basis.

Well , this forum is not a customer care or grievance redressal cell for any bank . We are unable to do anything in the matter .
This forum is dedicated to RTI discussions .
If you wish to persue your matter for getting any INFORMATION from any Public Authority , the members of this forum may then suggest you how to do that .

Wait for 9 or 10 days for reversing the debit entry and if not done File RTI why it is not done section 4(1)(d) of RTI act read threads of phadke
