Need Help: Electricity Department Poles on my vacant land

Sometime back when I was out of the country, the Tamilnadu Electricity Board had put on three Electrical Poles & Electrical Lines on my vacant land without my permission. This pillars are about 10-15 yards from the fence. Under the RTI act, can I ask them to move them near the fence at their cost or ask them to pull out the pillars and look for alternative routes instead of my land. Legally where do I stand?

You may file RTI application with PIO of Elect. dept and ask for:

a. Copy of rules containing provisions which have to be followed while putting pole in any private land.

b. And copy of application by which consent of owner was sought.

c. Reply of owner in the case.

as me doing same activity 4 safety standard with electricity department.......u can go 4 ansr #2 with responsible electricity department...they can charge u 4 shifting....but rti can help u...may b free f cost.

file another application to electrical inspector of same area..as per Indian electricity act 1956 rule 63. he/she has to approved before start HT line...demand certified copy of inspection performa, performa inward date,date of started line.
