Need Help: Mad Secretary.

Please Help me sir,
Our society consists of 40 members (20 members each wing) & the commitee represents of 5 members out of which two members are defaulters who have not paid maintenence. This commitee has been formed under malpractise as the secretary had been previously thrown out of the earlier commitee by No confidence vote, He later on with political pressure got administrative etc & got himself elected for the period of three years from 12.10.2005. His tenure is ending on 12.10.2008. Till now he has not been able to convey the agm which was suppose to be done before 15 August.Now he has taken the grace period.
Let me bring to you the fact that there are certain residents including me almost 23 members who have not done full payment to the society because we have lost compleate faith in the commitee as no issues may it be cleanliness of the surrounding or timely maintenance of water pipes or addressing to the query the commitee has never reponded to any queries of the members.
They say that they have all the powers of and they will deceide everything. Infact they are just staying in this posts for the re development work which is expected although no where nearby,
I have myself with help from various members cleaned the premises that to at our expenses as he is not bothered to do so, he only wants all the fruits of the society compound i.e. the secretary & the chairman were for the last 20 years eating up/ selling all the fruits of the society (COCONUTS) but after the meeting on 20.01.08 we deceided that all the fruits will be distributed among all the fourty members. We got this thing done but till now he has not given the copies of minutes of meetings. He always shows his ignorance on every matter as if he is not aware of i.e.(FACT) if we say that the common passage has no light & its very feary for small children. His reply is You go & get the light. whisch we have done in the past. He says that he will complain the police & all nonsence. Is he right in his behaviour. We have more than 20 members in our favour who are fed up of his way of running the society.

Please help me.

I can understand your frustration and fully sympathize with you. However, this forum deals with RTI matters, so if you want any help in filing RTI application etc. please put up a query. Otherwise, the best forum to discuss this issue would be bighelpers.org, the forum hosted by RTI India.

It is better to lodge complaint with Dy. Registrar of Coop Society of your area. U can refer MTNL directory for address. If your complaint is not attended in a month or so, U can file RTI application by refering following posts:
