Dear Sir, I had my property in Rana Partap bagh almost built in 1957. The registry of the same had gone missing and the right date fo purchsing is not known It has records in Urdu. I had checked all the possibilities ie. in House tax and in indexes at Kashmiri Gate but failed to get any information regarding same can anybody guide me what can i do now to get the certified copy for my registry. It is possible that in 1957, the land would have been in some village area. For this U may file RTI appln with the Mamlatdar Office [sub revenue officer] for supply of 7/12, 6,8a,2 formats in your name. U can also file RTI appln with the SPIO of Sub-Registrar Office of the area by giving maximum details to supply duplicate of conveyance deed [registry]. U can hire services of advocate to search records of sub-registrar from 1950 to 2005 to locate your registry. For Delhi RTI rules visit guide section on this page [top right]

Thank You For your feed back but still i am confused how to approach such things. I had even not heard of Mamlatdar Office can u tell me where it is? never the less can u guide me for good advocate with reasonable charges who can guide me through out. I will be very great ful to you if you tell me that. Further as you discribed it a village area as of my knowledge it was a garden and taken over by DLF and developed by the same. I had approached DLF also but they told me that the record of the same had been disposed off. |

In Gujarat Mamlatdar is below District Collector/Magistrate. In Delhi there must be some officer at Taluka level. I donot know designation in Delhi. From Gujarat I cannot recommend any advocate. U can better visit some nationalised bank branch and ask contact details of advocate on panel. U can then chose one of them who suits your requirement.
