Question: regarding information about RTI

Hi sir,
I am a student a Engg. college. I want to know how we college students get benefits from RTI acts in one or different ways and we also thinking of starting a small Cell of RTI in our college in which we will try to clear the queris of students about their rights as most of the students are still unaware of RTI and also how it can be benefitial for them.
So please sir let us know what basic steps we have to take. I shall be highly obliged.

Any Government Semi Government department / Organization (except few i.e. intelligence,RAW etc) any department / organization financed directly or indirectly by Government are under the preview of RTI Act-2005,But my personal view is that you should concentrate on your studies first.
In any case go through the RTI Act-2005 so that in case you face any problem in your future life you can calculate / analyze the same from the angle of RTI Act-2005.
