Dear Sir. I want know the term of Office of elected Directors (Office Bearers) in a Co-operative Society which registered under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Registration Act 1959.      |

Dear Pasha, Co-op Sty's are covered indirectly under the RTI act through the office of Registrar of Co-op Sty's where the society is registered. In Mumbai: 1) Deputy Registrar is designated as Public Information Office (PIO) and 2) District Deputy Registrar as First Appellant Authority (FAA) under the RTI act You will need to find out about Karnataka. Incidentally: Karnataka Co-op Sty's Act, 1959. Maharashtra Co-op Sty's Act, 1960. Laws governing Co-op Sty's must be very similar in both the states.
