Question: Need Help - Raising a RTI against Directorate School Education

I lost my SSC (10th) Mark sheet, I registered FIR, and got a copy of FIR (not traceable), and applied for the Duplicate Mark Sheet through my school where i completed my 10th Class in the month November 2010. Paid a challan and applied through DE (Salem). I have not received my copy of Mark sheet till date.. I inquired in my school and also in the Education department. There is no proper response on either side.

I want to raise the Right to Information, to Directorate of school education (chennai) requesting answers for below questions.

a) what is happening on my application for duplicate copy of my mark sheet ?
b) How many days it will take for them to process my application ?
c) What is the regular course of time to get the Duplicate Mark sheet ?
d) What is delaying in getting my duplicate mark sheet, When will i get my mark sheet ?

What i need to do for raising RTI. Need details like, whom i need to contact, where i need to submit application for RTI. What is the address for submitting RTI, what are the documents required.

You can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?

Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for TN.
