I think you cannot become member, unless U own a flat in the CHS. U may refer Maharashtra Coop Societies Act.

Dear Hrishikesh, Welcome to the RTI India portal. You can become an Associate Member. You will have all the rights of attending, voting in the general body meetings etc, but you will not have any ownership rights.
