Need Help: Need to take an information from BSNL

Hi All !!

My landline phone is out of order since 23rd September 2011.

I want to ask BSNL few things.

Like how much time they should take in fixing the telephone, if it has not fixed within the given time then which officer is responsible for the same.

Kindly help me in this regard

File a RTI application with the PIO of the local office of BSNL and ask for a copy of the rules, regulations and guidelines governing the repair or rectification of dead telephones and lines.

Details of the PIO will be available on the website of BSNL, under the "RTI" link.

Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for the Centre.

Please search website of BSNL and TRAI. There is provision not to charge rent if phone is not working for certain days in a month.

The Rules are in the BSNL Telephone Directory as well as on the BSNL Website. Download them.

You need to ask the information as to who is responsible for delays etc.
