RTI against private sector banking services

    Dear Sir/Mam,

I have been cheated by ICICI prudential. I requested a health insurance however they changed it to pension plan.

I saw fraud signatures on consent form used by ICICI towards my policy.

when I asked them I need copy of original document which was submitted and consent document used to change policy they informed me I can collect from a different branch and different branch manager informed he will contact officer and provide me the copies.

I need to file an RTI against ICICI so that I can get copies of the said documents. Kindly let me know the correct procedure to do so.

    dear js
You first make a complaint to your icici CMD. and wait for their reply. If nothing comes out than you can approach the RBI because all banks comes under the RBI. So far Rti is conserned You can not file the rti to private bank , you can have the RTi route through RBI only.

    thank u

ICIC Prudential is not a bank, its an insurance xompany. You may have to approach Insurance Ombudsman appointed by IRDA for this purpose.

As you are the insured party, you do not really need RTI to get a copy of consent form. It should be made available to you as a right. Also, if you feel that the consent form in possession of ICIC Pru has forged signatures, you may consider approaching police (economic offences wing).

Insurance agencies come under the control of IRDA, which is a public authority and you can file a written complaint to IRDA and follow it up with RTI to IRDA.

Bank is not connected. Problem is with Private Insurance Co. Please file complaint with Insurance Ombudsman by visiting website of IRDA. http://www.irdaindia.org/ins_ombusman.htm
