Post Need help in filing RTI application to improve the conditions of roads in the city.

    Hi,

I intend to file an RTI application to improve the condition of roads in Pune.
I would like to send the details of the roads and the location where the roads are highly uneven.

Especially during the monsoons and even during other seasons, ditches develop on the roads and are normally patched up by the Pune Municipal Corporation. But when the patch work is done, its so uneven it almost becomes a road block or a partial speed breaker.

I want to file an RTI application to have smooth roads instead of these uneven roads.

Is this a valid RTI application and if YES whom should i write it to.

    Need help on this.

Under RTI, you can only get "information".

Please read the draft RTI application for poor roads, attached to post # 2 in this thread:
Roads in Malkapur Town (Buldhana District)

Suitably modify and edit it for your use.

You can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department which maintains that road (could be Pune Cantonment Board, PMC, State Roads and Building Department or NHAI), under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?

Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for Maharashtra.
These are available in the Guide section of the Portal: RTI Guide

Please read the other articles in the Guide section as well as the links given in the FAQ here: RTI FAQ

These will be of help to you during the RTI process.
