Elusive success
A false case was registered against me by the CBI, Kolkata.
Investigation resulted unsubstantiated charges and the case was closed.
In the meantime, I demanded several information under the RTI Act from the CBI relating to
the case registered against me. For two years the CBI provided some information, evaded some others and denied the rest. I filed 9 numbers of 2nd Appeal before the CIC. Till date 8 of them have been decided in my favour and 1 is still pending. But the success is still elusive.
The following decisions of the CIC, passed in quick succession has been ultimately challenged by the CBI before the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.

At the time of hearing of the second order, it was agitated that though the CBI has allowed inspection of the records/documents but it did supply photocopies of the documents/records. But no action was taken by the CIC for violation of the orders. However a penalty proceeding is pending as both the orders have been stayed by the Hon'ble High Court and the matter is yet to be heard.
It needs mention here that, in view of the CVC's memo,
which I obtained under RTI Act, I have filed a Writ Petition against the CBI for launching
false prosecution against me.
It is interesting that, in one of those 2nd Appeals the issue involved was collecting further fees (for supplying photocopies) from me and ultimately not providing the same to me because it would have revealed how investigation in the case was fraught with discrepancies, loopholes and mala fide.
I am very grateful and thankful to the Team RTI as I have derived from them the strength and determination required to pursue the case till it lasts.
If any member of Team RTI happens to delve into the matter in its totally after going through the orders of the CIC/ Memo of the CVC and has any suggestion or advise for me, it will be highly appreciated.
