Question: The respondent PIO, has not furnished his details ( Name and Designation )

Hi,

In a response from PIO of Pondicherry Engineering College, he has not specified his Name and Designation. I am not able to find the information about him in any of the websites of pondicherry, including tthe official college website. The reason I ask for this is to file First Appeal, where I need to provide the details of the PIO who responded to the RTI application.

Is this a violation according to RTI Act ?

Can this matter be highlighted in any hearing/first appeal/second appeal ?

The PIO who responded to my RTI application did not furnish his details ( Name and Designation ) and denied the requested information.
1) Do I need the details of PIO to file a first appeal. ?
2) Can this act of PIO be highlighted as violation of the RTI act, in any hearing/first appeal/second appeal ?

Did he mention the particulars of appellate authority in his rejection letter? In fact u/s 4(1)(b)(xvi), the name and designation of PIO is required to be displayed suo moto.

Please file First appeal before the FAA within 30 days of receipt of PIO's reply.
