How many applications have been refused by IITJEE the last date for which was 15 Dec 2011. Each application is Rs 1600/- if even 50000 applications have been rejected the amount accumulated by IIT will be Rs 8Crs for waht reason IIT should keep this amount when they are not allowing candidates to sit for exam. There should be refund of this amount.

You have raised a very genuine public issue. We should file a RTI application with the IIT asking them the following information.

1. Total number of application received
2. Number of application rejected.
3. Total amount of application fee received.
4. Name of account head in which the money is deposited.
5. Name of the bank and account number in which the money is deposited.
6. Ledger balance of the account in which the money is deposited.
7. Copy of Bank statement of that account for last six months.

Thanks for the revert. Infact such a big event is not pubilicised even once in a national daily. When online form is filled and cash deposited at bank well before due date the consideration to sit in the exam should be there or else refund of fees. Kindly guide how tp file RTI.
