RTI applicants should access judicial documents from courts under court rules and not RTI
There have been frequent discussions on the issue of using RTI to access judicial documents from courts.
In a recent order CIC has advised applicants to access judicial related documents from courts using the existing court rules and not by filing RTI applications. It held that Sec 22 of the RTI Act only came into play when there is something contradictory in any other Act (relating to accessing information).
