Issuance of passport - no trace of enquiry
I have applied for the passport to RPO, Lucknow. My earlier passport was lost alongwith the other passports when it was sent for emigration clearance. FIR was lodged. All the other passport holders got their passports but my case has been sent for police enquiry. RPO, Lucknow says that they have sent the enquiry on 3rd October 2008 whereas the concerned police dept deny of receiving any such request till date. On repeated visit, they get irritated and ask me to go away. I have got a work visa for Oman. Employer is threatening to cancel the visa if I do not report on duty within 10 days. This fact was explained to RPO, Lucknow. Kindly inform what step I should take to get the passport.
