I need to apply Thane Muncipal Corporation for a copy of OC.
Hi Team,
I am new to this forum please help me how should I apply for a copy of Occupation Certificate for the premises in which I stay. I had been to TMC office but I didn't find any counter being set-up to address RTI requests. Thanks Yogesh

You can file a RTI application with the PIO of TMC. Details of PIO will be available on the website of TMC, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call TMC and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?Sponsorer
Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for Maharashtra.

Dear Yogesh, If your building has a valid OC then u can ask for all the buildings having OC in your area and the number of buildings not having OC, and who is the authorised person to take action against those building , what is the Rule if a building has not got an OC, why the officer not take necessary action, what is the time limit to obtain an OC , what action should be taken against that officer who has that authority and many more questions.............

Dear Sir,Unfortunately my buildings CC ia not listed in the TMC office after filing an RTI I have not received and written communication from TMC regarding the authenticity of my CC against which the OC was issued. Currently my case is filed for Second appeal with the MSIC and awaiting for their response on hearing. Meanwhile if you can guide me regarding making use of RTI for finding the documentation history of my building would be very helpful.Thanks
