Thumbs down Appointment of Notary Public

my name is Leela Prasad and i am practicing as advocate in andhra pradesh. i made an application to ministry of law and justice in 2006.
till today no information was received from the concerned department.
after my application, 2 advocates, who are juniors to me were got appointed as notary public in our place.

i made a RTI application in this regard, for which CPIO simply replied that your application is pending for consideration of central govt.

how can i question their appointments?

how i can know about the exact status of my application?

how can i get note files relating to my pending application?

anybody advise me in this regard.

Please make a fresh RTI application addressed to the same PIO who replied you earlier seeking following:
    1. Present position of your application (you may give the reference of their reply)
    2. Certified copy of the Office Note pertaing to the case file for the period from...... to........
    3. The norms set by the public authority for selection and appointment of Notary public.

Incidentally, I don't think that Notary Public is appointed as per any seniority

If you applied for Notary at the State Level , then your RTI application has to be addressed to the SPIO of the Stamps and Registration Department. That is the Governing authority at the state level.
That must be the same authority to whom you applied, in the first place.

I find that the appointment of Notary Public is purely on plitical or on personal net.. This is one of the ways of Minister for Law to scatch back or their way of telling "Thank You Advocate". At least I am sure about Kerala. Other states too can't vary much.

Hello all let me provide all the details so that u can suggest accurately

I am Vengugopal practicing as advocate in andhra pradesh. i made an application for "NOTARY" to ministry of law and justice New Delhi( Central Govt ) in November 2008.

Till date i have not recieved acknowledgement or status of my application. I have tried contacting the phone numbers mentioned on their webiste but i am getting the standard answer as "it takes some time " and they rarely pick the call and most of the times not respond to the call.

How much time will they require to appoint as NOTARY ? whom to contact for status ? your help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
