Sec 24 exempt organisations also providing information ?
Came across this strange order from COC, related to NTRO - an organisation exempt under Sec 24 of the RTI Act.
Although the organisation is out of the purview of RTI Act, the CPIO and also the FAA did provide information to the applicant and CIC also ordered the disclosure of more information
Original order: http://rti.india.gov.in/cic_decision...SM_M_54573.pdf
Further Order: http://www.rti.india.gov.in/cic_deci...SM_T_76100.pdf
==========
Either there is something more than meets the eye OR it just reflects on poor training of PIOs/FAAs - even of the exempted organisations.

Karira Sir,Sponsorer
I think the organisation is law abiding and respects the right of citizens in obtaining information. Happy information sharing.
